Terms of Use
The rules for using the Love Changes website, its content and its services.
Last updated on August 15, 2026
These Terms of Use govern your access to the Love Changes website and to every service we offer through it. By browsing the site, sending us a message or making a donation, you agree to them.
If you do not agree with any part of this document, please stop using the website.
Who we are
Love Changes is an international nonprofit organization recognized as 501(c)(3) under the United States Internal Revenue Code. We work to end child abuse through art, education and community, and we publish free resources for survivors and for the people who support them.
For anything related to this document, reach us through the contact form on our website.
Who may use the website
Anyone may read our public content. To donate, contact us or share personal data with us you must be at least 18 years old, or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you send us, including the e-mail address used to receive donation receipts and reference codes.
Acceptable use
You agree to use the website lawfully and in a way that does not harm other people or the service itself. In particular, you may not:
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, accounts or administrative areas;
- probe, scan, overload or otherwise disrupt the infrastructure that keeps the site available;
- submit false, fraudulent or stolen payment information;
- use automated tools to scrape, copy or republish our content at scale;
- upload content that is illegal, abusive, defamatory or that violates someone else’s rights.
Our content is not professional advice
The material we publish, including articles, resources and recorded consultations, is educational. It does not replace medical, psychological, legal or financial advice from a qualified professional who knows your situation.
If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency number or a child protection service in your country right away. Our website is not an emergency channel and messages sent through it are not monitored around the clock.
Intellectual property
The website’s texts, images, illustrations, videos, logos, brand elements and source code belong to Love Changes or to the people who licensed them to us, and are protected by copyright and trademark law.
You may share and quote our public content for non-commercial purposes as long as you credit Love Changes and link back to the original page. Any other use requires our written permission.
Third-party services
We rely on specialized providers to operate: Stripe processes payments, Resend delivers transactional e-mail, and our infrastructure provider hosts the application and its database. Their own terms apply to the part of the service they operate.
Links to external websites are offered for convenience. We do not control their content and are not responsible for it.
Availability and changes to the service
We work to keep the website available and correct, but we do not promise uninterrupted access. Maintenance, provider incidents or security measures may make parts of it temporarily unavailable.
We may add, change or discontinue features at any time. When a change affects donations already in progress, we will tell the affected donors by e-mail.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Love Changes is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, this website.
Nothing in this document limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for fraud, wilful misconduct or damage caused to consumers under mandatory consumer protection rules.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state where the organization is registered, without prejudice to the mandatory rights you hold under the consumer and data protection laws of your country of residence.
Changes to these terms
We may update this document to reflect changes in the service or in the law. The revision date is shown at the top of the page, and material changes are announced on the website before they take effect.
Continuing to use the website after a new version is published means you accept it.
