Donation and Refund Policy

You may give once or set up a monthly contribution. Monthly donations are charged on the same day of each month until you cancel them, and each successful charge generates its own confirmation e-mail.

After a successful donation we send a reference code. Keep it: it is what identifies your contribution when you want to review or cancel it.

Payments are processed by Stripe. Card details are typed into fields hosted by Stripe and never reach our servers, which keeps the flow within Stripe’s PCI DSS certification.

We store only the amount, the currency, the status of the donation and the identifiers Stripe returns.

Love Changes is exempt from United States federal income tax under IRC section 501(c)(3). Donors may deduct contributions under IRC section 170, and the organization can receive tax-deductible gifts under sections 2055, 2106 and 2522.

Deductibility outside the United States depends on your local law. The confirmation e-mail we send serves as proof of the contribution.

Open the donation management page, enter your reference code and the e-mail used in the donation, and cancel with one click. The cancellation takes effect immediately and no further charge is made.

Lost the code? Request it again from the same page and we will send it to the e-mail address on record.

When a monthly charge fails — an expired card, for instance — we notify you by e-mail and the payment provider retries a few times over the following days.

If every attempt fails, the recurring donation is cancelled automatically and we send a final notice. You can start a new donation whenever you want.

Donations are voluntary and, as a rule, final. Even so, we refund in full any donation made by mistake, duplicated or unauthorized, when the request reaches us through the contact form on our website within 30 days of the charge.

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within up to 10 business days, depending on your card issuer.

Donations are applied to the organization’s programmes and to the operating costs that keep them running. We do not guarantee that a specific donation is assigned to a specific project unless we agreed to it in writing.
