Cookies are small text files stored by your browser when you visit a website. They let the site remember choices between page loads — your language, for example — and keep authenticated sessions valid.

Strictly necessary cookies keep the site functional and secure and cannot be turned off, because without them the service does not work. Every other category is optional and disabled until you accept it.

• Strictly necessary: consent record, administrative session and payment security.
• Preferences: the language you chose, so it survives your next visit.
• Analytics: not in use today. If we ever adopt an audience measurement tool, it will only run after you opt in.
• Advertising: never used. We do not run ad networks and we do not share data for behavioural advertising.

The current list, with purpose and lifetime:

• lc_consent — stores your cookie choice so the banner is not shown again. Strictly necessary, 12 months.
• lc_admin_session — keeps the internal operations area authenticated. Strictly necessary, expires with the session.
• __stripe_mid and __stripe_sid — set by Stripe on the donation page to detect payment fraud. Strictly necessary, up to 12 months.

The first time you visit, a banner lets you accept or reject non-essential cookies. Rejecting them keeps every feature of the site working; only optional measurement would be turned off.

To change your decision later, open the Cookie Policy page and use the "Review cookie choices" button at the end of this document.

You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and enable a Global Privacy Control signal, which we honour as an opt-out request. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may break the donation flow.
